Solar developers are making billions of dollars from these projects, at the real cost of the citizens. Ron loves living in rural America, where the average citizen still has a say about their lives.

Instead, Culpeper has become a prime destination for solar developers to prey on rural communities who don’t live near these proposed solar wastelands. When did deforestation and mass scale excavation become acceptable to save the planet?

It would be unethical for the county to accept the financial offering of $2 Million in cash from the solar developers.

I have been a real estate agent for 42 years, and an industrial solar power plant will have a negative impact on home values. If given a choice, a buyer will not buy next to a solar plant. Never have I been asked to buy a home with a solar plant view.

We heard from the solar developer’s attorney that “this will have no impact on historic resources.” Culpeper country was the most fought over during the Civil War. It definitely will have an impact on our history. They clearly don’t care what they are doing to Culpeper history.

People think they have a right to use their land however they want, but no one has a right to put an energy generating facility on their land. There is no inherent right for anyone to do that.

Solar power plants prohibit vegetation and negatively impact our local flora and fauna. These power plants are water intensive; where is all this water coming from? Our well water?

Orange County citizens are watching Culpeper. Solar should be in industrial areas.
